I’m Christine and I write to encourage you to live victoriously and authentically in the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
September 12, 2025
Heavenly Father, many of us are hurting, confused and even scared. These days, especially here in the US. Though it’s been 24 years, we will never forget all those who died in the 9/11 attacks. And this week; the children who were shot, the innocent woman killed, and one who stands for truth murdered in cold blood. And all those who didn’t make the news reels…
In what seems to be an onslaught of evil what can we, the devastated onlookers do? How can we make a difference?
Begin by bringing your broken heart to God, weep upon His shoulder. Grieve – for He grieves with you and for you…

Though we grieve, we are called to grieve with hope.
Oh, I am so grateful that we can find God’s comfort in grief. In that, we can trust that God’s goodness still reigns. That in light of the Gospel those who put their hope in Jesus are now fully alive in His Presence. We can stand upon God’s promise that He will have the last Word, bringing something good out of all this evil. Let throw ourselves upon God’s mercy and grace, lest we become jaded or hardened or worse, blame Him for what the enemy has done. No, let us level blame squarely where it belongs – it is the enemy who is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came to give us life, life to the full. Even if things don’t make sense, even though we can’t understand, even when it hurts like hell, we can still choose to trust God – our good and loving Father.
We can hold both grief and hope at the same time.
Heavenly Father, help us to grieve in light of Who You are and the great love You have for us. Thank You that You already have a plan in place to comfort, to bring hope to the lost and hurting – for You have called us, those who know and love You, to comfort others with the comfort we ourselves we ourselves have received from You.
We may not be able to change the whole world, but we can choose to trust God more-and-more and so be driven to fulfill His law-of-love. Let us love bigger, love better, love with an unreserved, unabashed, generous and radical love.
Not only for those we like or agree with, but for every person – for God created them in His own image.
And that my friends, will change someone’s world…
Because, in the end, these three remain; Faith, Hope and Love, and the greatest of these is Love.
Dear Ones, there are people in your life that need God’s comfort in their grief. Who can you comfort with God’s hope and love this very day? Our world is in such desperate need of it.
How can I be praying for you? Visit the Prayer Wall and let me know.
You are welcome here, friend. Let your prayer rest on the wall, a place where voices gather to pray, whisper hope, and walk with you.
Gentle encouragement, right when you need it...
