I’m Christine and I write to encourage you to live victoriously and authentically in the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
August 30, 2025
It’s been 10 years. 10 long years that have evaporated in what seems mere moments. 10 years since I last hugged you. 10 years since I heard your laugh and seen your big smile. 10 years since we said goodbye, though I didn’t know at the time it would be until forever…
Ten years ago our son, Matt, passed from this side of eternity into the next, and I miss him dearly. August 30, 2015 – a day which the enemy intended to break me, God has redeemed for His Glory, and, yes, even for my good. God strengthened me, taught me, healed me and graciously, has given me victory over grief! Not saying there hasn’t been any tears, but I’ve seen God’s goodness in hard seasons!

His last words to me, written on the whiteboard of my office, “Courage – ruling out fear as an influence in your decisions” is coming to fruition even now. So, today, on the tenth anniversary of Matt’s home going, I give you a piece of my heart. A place to gather to feel seen, know that you are not alone, to be encouraged and also to encourage others. (I’m especially excited about that part!) With the help of my amazing daughter Sharon – of The Shine Mosaic, we’ve designed this sacred space dedicated to helping those dealing with the difficult things of life, including death.

It is my hope that you too will take courage and live a great story! That happens when we trust in the goodness of God in the hard seasons of life and rest in the healing work of the Holy Spirit.
Linger a while and look around, it’s good to see you here.
Much love and gratitude,
Christine
You are welcome here, friend. Let your prayer rest on the wall, a place where voices gather to pray, whisper hope, and walk with you.
I am grieving with you today, our sweet Matty’s contagious love of life, his generous heart and his adventurous spirit. I’m confident that he and God are looking at you flourishing and making something beautiful and helpful for other people who need it most. All my love and admiration my sister.
