If you’re here, you’re looking for something, or rather someone. His Name is Jesus and He loves you so very much. You may believe there is a God and even accept that Jesus is His Son, but it is more than just head knowledge. (Even Satan believes in them, yet is doomed.)
In the beginning God created everything and everything was good. But Satan, a fallen angel and our enemy, deceived Eve and Adam into focusing on the one thing off limits instead of everything else God had given them. He also convinced them they didn’t need God.
They chose to believe Satan over God and mankind fell from the grace God designed them to dwell in and sin, sickness and death entered the world.
All throughout the Old Testament prophecies foretold of a Savior that God would send to redeem all mankind. One person fulfilled all those prophecies - Jesus. He came as fully God, but set aside His power to enter into a human life as fully man, so that He could fully know our struggles, hurts and heartaches. He would also know our sin. He lived a perfect, sinless life so that He could be the perfect sacrifice, dying on a cruel cross, taking on all our sin - paying the price to redeem us once and for all.
Three days later Jesus rose from the dead! Securing eternal life for those who put their faith in Him. One day He will return to judge the living and the dead. Those who follow Him shall be raised to new life and live eternally with Him, but sadly, those who did not, will instead end up following the enemy into eternal damnation.
Choose differently than Adam and Eve. Choose not to believe the lies of the enemy that tell us we can live however we want without any consequence, and instead pray and tell God you:
- choose to agree with Him that you’re a sinner and that you cannot save yourself.
- choose to repent of your sin, which simply means to turn around, and go another way.
- choose His plan of salvation - Jesus - and put your faith in Him alone. Surrender your
life to Jesus and agree to live according to His Word. (That’s what “following Jesus” is.)
